Tim "The Monk" Miller was a billiard instructor and author who founded the Monk Billiard Academy. Paul McTier is an avid follower of The Monk and teaches the game based on his principles.
Sadly, Tim Miller passed away in 2021.
Tad Kohara was a legendary cue maker based right here in Southern California. He was inducted into the International Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame in 2007 and the American Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame in 2011. His cues, simply known as Tad Cues, are highly prized in the Far East and one cue has been added to the Smithsonian American History collection. His cues are the benchmark by which Paul McTier compares all other cues (Paul owns several Tad Cues). Tad Kohara passed away in 2013 but his son Fred continues to make cues using his father's techniques and equipment.
Max Eberle is a professional pool player, coach, and instructor based in Las Vegas, Nevada. His championship titles include the 1991 BCA Junior National 8-Ball Champion, two ACUI Collegiate National Champion, 2008 “Best In The West” 9-Ball Pro Invitational, 2013 Derby City Classic 14.1 10 foot table World Champion, and the 2020 Jay Swanson Memorial 9-Ball Tournament. He also represented the USA in the 2019 ABN Dream Challenge, winning a singles match and contributing to Team USA's win over Russia.
