The Sniper tip is the stock tip on the Tiger ULTRA-X LD shaft and we consider it to be matched very well to that shaft. Sniper laminated cue tips are made from boar hide that is tanned underground. Each hide takes up to a year to tan completely. The tanned hide is treated in Tiger's factory using Tiger's VACULAM vacuum lamination process that eliminates air within the leather and between layers of leather. Sniper tips are available only in 14mm diameter medium hardness.
Tiger's Onyx-LTD laminated cue tips are made from the same boar hides as the Sniper tips. The finest layers are further aged via Tiger's proprietary process which blackens the layer without using a dye. During this process, the layers are softened to medium hardness, while making the leather firmer. This makes the tip easy to maintain and helps it to cut better during repairs. Onyx-LTD tips are available only in 14mm diameter medium hardness.
